Sumatras Orang-Utans

The Sumatran orang-utan is one of the two species of orang-utans. Found only on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia, it is rarer than the Bornean orang-utan. Its northern, riverside town of Bukit Lawang has a well-known orang-utan rehabilitation center. Orang means "person" and hutan means "forest", thus "person of the forest".

Japan (日本)

Japan is an island nation in the Pacific Ocean with high-rise-filled cities, imperial palaces, mountainous national parks and thousands of shrines and temples. Tokyo, the crowded capital with an urban area population of 38 million (city population about 13,5 million), is known for its neon skyscrapers and pop culture. In contrast, Kyoto offers Buddhist temples, Shinto shrines, gardens and cherry blossoms.

Women of Bolivia

The bowler hat, called a bombín in Spanish, has been worn by Quechua and Aymara women since the 1920s, when it was introduced to Bolivia by British railway workers. For many years, a factory in Italy manufactured the hats for the Bolivian market, but they are now made locally.

Streets of Marrakech (مراكش)

Marrakesh is a former imperial city in western Morocco. The medina is a densely packed, walled medieval city dating to the Berber Empire with mazelike alleys where thriving souks sell traditional textiles, pottery and jewelry.

Cambodia (ព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា)

Cambodia, officially known as the Kingdom of Cambodia and once known as the Khmer Empire, is a country located in the southern portion of the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. Cambodia has a population of over 15 million.

Myanmar

Myanmar (formerly Burma), is a Southeast Asian nation of more than 100 ethnic groups, bordering India, Bangladesh, China, Laos and Thailand. Myanmar has a population of over 51 million, its capital city is Naypyidaw and its largest city is Yangon (Rangoon).
